Buying Guides

Buying guides written by collectors

McCartney and Beatles releases come in more formats than any other catalogue: standard and half-speed vinyl, coloured variants, deluxe and super deluxe boxes, Dolby Atmos Blu-rays and store exclusives. Our buying guides cut that down to the editions worth owning, ordered by price so you can see what each extra dollar buys.

Start with the best Beatles and Wings box sets or Wings on vinyl if you are building a record collection. Looking for a present? Our gift guide runs from stocking fillers to collector pieces, and the best books about Paul covers biographies, photo books and his own writing.

Every guide is dated and refreshed when new editions appear or prices shift. Prices are approximate US street prices at the time of writing.
